Therapy & Counselling

At Sea Inside Psychology, therapy is a collaborative space to explore the patterns, challenges, and hopes that shape your life. My approach is grounded in warmth, clarity, and respect — creating room for both insight and change.

I work with adults and adolescents who are navigating:

  • Anxiety, stress, and depression

  • Trauma and post-traumatic stress (PTSD)

  • Relationship and family-of-origin difficulties

  • Low self-worth, identity, and self-confidence challenges

  • Life transitions and personal growth

Drawing on evidence-based approaches including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and somatic mind-body practices, I tailor therapy to meet you where you are. Together we can work toward easing distress, deepening self-understanding, and building more fulfilling ways of living and relating.

Somatic & Mind-Body Approaches

Our bodies hold stories and experiences that words alone can’t always capture. Somatic therapy helps you tune into these physical patterns — breath, tension, movement, sensation — to support healing, regulation, and deeper self-awareness.

This approach can be especially helpful if you find yourself “stuck in your head,” disconnected from your body, or looping through the same emotional patterns. By slowing down and noticing your body’s signals, therapy becomes a space to release old patterns and build new pathways for calm and resilience.

I integrate somatic practices into my work with:

  • Trauma and post-traumatic stress (PTSD)

  • Anxiety, stress, and emotional overwhelm

  • Disconnection from the body, numbness, or overthinking

  • Intimacy, sexuality, and relational concerns

  • Building grounding, presence, and emotional clarity

Somatic therapy is not about performance or pushing the body — it’s about creating safety and awareness in small, steady steps. When combined with EMDR and psychosexual therapy, these approaches help restore a sense of wholeness and balance between mind and body.

Psychosexual Therapy

Psychosexual therapy offers a safe and supportive space to explore concerns around intimacy, desire, and sexual wellbeing. These issues are deeply personal, and often connected to our history, identity, relationships, and sense of self.

I welcome and affirm people of all genders, sexualities, and relationship structures. My practice is inclusive of LGBTQIA+ communities, gender fluidity, and diverse ways of relating.

I support individuals and couples who may be experiencing:

  • Impacts of trauma or past experiences on sexuality

  • Relationship challenges around intimacy and connection

  • Exploring identity, orientation, or relationship diversity

  • Low desire or changes in sexual interest

  • Painful or uncomfortable sex

  • Difficulties with arousal, orgasm, or performance

I am a registered psychologist and currently completing a Master of Science in Medicine (Sexual & Reproductive Health – Psychosexual Therapy) at the University of Sydney. This training deepens my work with clients by integrating evidence-based psychological therapy with a holistic understanding of sexual health.

By blending talk therapy with mind-body approaches, we can work together to ease anxiety, rebuild confidence, and create more fulfilling intimate experiences.

Trauma Therapy & EMDR

Trauma can leave lasting imprints on the body and mind, shaping how we see ourselves, how safe we feel, and how we connect with others. Trauma therapy provides a supportive space to process these experiences with compassion and care — at a pace that feels safe for you.

I draw on a trauma-informed, whole-person approach that acknowledges both the impact of the past and your capacity to heal in the present.

One of the key methods I use is Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). I have completed Level 2 Advanced Training. EMDR helps the brain reprocess distressing memories so they lose their intensity, allowing new meaning and perspective to emerge. Many clients find this approach helps ease symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, and self-doubt, and supports a greater sense of calm and stability.

I integrate EMDR with other therapies, including CBT, DBT, and somatic practices, tailoring each session to what feels right for you. Together, we can work toward:

  • Reducing the emotional charge of traumatic memories

  • Easing symptoms of anxiety, hypervigilance, or intrusive thoughts

  • Rebuilding self-confidence and resilience

  • Creating safer, more connected relationships

  • Restoring balance between mind and body
