Based in Newcastle, NSW and available Australia‑wide via Telehealth.

Sea Inside Psychology offers thoughtful, trauma‑informed therapy for adults seeking clarity, emotional steadiness, and meaningful personal growth. My work integrates EMDR, somatic approaches, and psychosexual therapy within a grounded, evidence‑based framework.

Therapy is a space to slow down, understand your patterns, and reconnect with yourself in a way that feels safe, steady, and respectful of your pace.

Our approach

My approach is relational, embodied, and tailored to each person. I work with the understanding that our histories, relationships, identities, and nervous systems all shape how we move through the world.

I draw on EMDR, somatic therapy, and evidence‑based psychological care to support emotional regulation, nervous system healing, and deeper self‑connection. Together, we explore what feels stuck, what feels overwhelming, and what you want to move toward.

This approach may be helpful if you’re wanting to:

• understand patterns in relationships and intimacy

• process past experiences without feeling re‑traumatised

• feel more grounded in your body and emotions

• work through anxiety, burnout, shame, or self‑criticism

• develop a clearer sense of identity, boundaries, and desire

About

Terri Skibowski (she/her) is a Registered Psychologist and the owner of Sea Inside Psychology. She is known for her calm, regulating presence and her ability to create a therapeutic space that feels safe, grounded, and deeply respectful of each person’s pace.

Terri’s practice is shaped by trauma-informed care and blends EMDR, somatic therapy, and relational approaches. She works with the understanding that trauma is held not only in the mind, but also in the body and nervous system. Her work supports clients to release what is stuck, develop emotional clarity, and move toward a more regulated and connected sense of self.

Alongside her clinical work, Terri is completing postgraduate studies in Psychosexual Therapy at the University of Sydney, with a focus on how trauma intersects with intimacy, sexuality, desire, and embodiment.

She has experience working with adults navigating complex trauma, anxiety, relationship patterns, body-based distress, and identity-related challenges. Her practice is inclusive of First Nations people, LGBTQIA+ communities, women, and people from culturally diverse backgrounds.
